Packers win 5th straight

Week 16
December 24, 2016 - 12 p.m. - FOX
Lambeau Field
Green Bay, Wisconsin

Packers 38 - Vikings 25

The Packers defeated the Vikings to win their fifth straight game and set up an NFC North showdown in Week 17 against the Detroit Lions for the division crown.

Led by another MVP performance by Aaron Rodgers, the offense was clicking on all cylinders.  Rodgers threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns.  Rodgers also ran for a touchdown.  Jordy Nelson was unstoppable as he caught nine passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings played well, but not well enough, as they were fighting for their season.  With the Packers win, the Vikings were eliminated from playoff consideration.

With the win, the Packers have set up a showdown in Detroit in Week 17.  The winner will win the NFC North division title.

Rodgers, Nelson save the day

Week 15
December 18, 2016 - 12 p.m. - FOX
Soldier Field
Chicago, Illinois

Packers 30 - Bears 27

Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson saved the day.

With under a minute remaining and the game tied, Rodgers connected with Nelson for 60 yards to put the Packers in field goal range for Mason Crosby to kick a game-winning field goal at the buzzer in Chicago.

The win extends the winning streak to four.  Currently, the Packers now hold the 6th seed in the NFC playoffs.  With a Detroit loss to the New York Giants, the Packers now control their own destiny.  Win the next two games and they will win the NFC North division.  Wild Card spot is also a possibility, but unlikely.

Ty Montgomery had a monster game (as a running back). Ty rushed for 162 yards on 16 carries and had two touchdowns.  Montgomery is getting better each week, which is very encouraging.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix had a nice game as well as he intercepted Bears quarterback Matt Barkley twice in the third quarter.

Packers rout Seahawks at home

Week 14
December 11, 2016 - 3:25 p.m. - FOX
Lambeau Field
Green Bay, Wisconsin

Packers 38 - Seahawks 10

The Packers dominated the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field to extend their winning streak to three games. The Packers improved their record to 7-6 on the season and kept pace in the NFC playoff picture.

Another small dose of revenge against the Seahawks after the 2014 playoff game.  The Packers crushed the Seahawks.  Aaron Rodgers threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns.  Rodgers' continued to play with a banged up hamstring and reportedly hurt his calf during the game.  Despite the injuries, QB1 was lights out against the number one defense in the NFL.  The Packers got the game off and running as Rodgers' connected with Davante Adams for a 66-yard touchdown on the third play of the game.  Adams finished the day with 104 receiving yards.  Jordy Nelson had 41 receiving yards and caught two touchdowns.

The story of the game goes to the defense.  The Packers intercepted Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson five times.  That's right, FIVE times (Burnett, Randall (2), Rollins, Hyde).  Seattle finished the game with a total of six turnovers.  Wilson was also sacked three times.

Packers defeat Texans in the snow

Week 13
December 4, 2016 - 12 p.m. - CBS
Lambeau Field
Green Bay, Wisconsin

Packers 21 - Texans 13

The Packers do just enough to beat the Houston Texans at snowy Lambeau Field to keep their playoff hopes alive.  The snowy conditions neutralized the field and made it difficult to execute.  With the win, the Packers have evened their record at 6-6, however, remain two games behind the Detroit Lions in the division.  In the Wild Card race, the Packers are only one game behind the Tampa Bay Bucs, however, there is a lot of teams in the hunt.

Aaron Rodgers, playing with a sore hamstring, tossed two touchdowns.  Jordy Nelson continued a solid season with 8 receptions for 118 yards.  Nelson also caught his 10th touchdown of the season.
