Packers crush weak Titans

Packers 55 - Titans 7

A week after the Packers clinched the NFC North title, they faced the weak (5-9) Tennessee Titans and absolutely dominated the AFC South opponent.  The whole team performed well as the Packers scored the third most points in a single game in Packers history.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 342 yards passing and three touchdowns and also added a rushing touchdown.  Great stats for a quarterback who only played three quarters.  Ryan Grant rushed for 80 yards on the ground on twenty carries and punching in two touchdowns.  James Jones caught seven passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  Other touchdowns for the Packers went to DuJuan Harris, Randall Cobb, and Greg Jennings.

The defense was dominate all game long.  In fact, we nearly had a shut-out, however, the Titans scored their only points of the game with 1:39 remaining in the 4th quarter.  Titans quarterback Jake Locker had a long day.  Locker was sacked seven times and threw two interceptions.  Packers who recorded sacks: AJ Hawk (2), Brad Jones (1), Clay Matthews (1), Mike Neal (1), Dezman Moses (1), and Sam Shields (1).  Erik Walden and Sam Shields both intercepted Jake Locker to close out his miserable day.

It was good to see the Packers play well against an opponent they should have handled easily especially with the playoffs only two weeks away.

Green Bay Packers  11-4
Minnesota Vikings  9-6
Chicago Bears  9-6
Detroit Lions  4-11
